I got it!

Bought the dress today. Whew, one less thing to think about. Now just need to dress Bud, pay for everything, and get rings. Should be doable. Looks like this circus might just come together after all.

Dress?

So I am going today to look for a dress. It is kind of strange going by myself, but I will take my camera and have the sales lady take pictures so I can show them to my mom. I am thinking a really simple dress. I definitely don't want the poof at the bottom. Anyway, here goes.

Whoa!

I am already frustrated with trying to plan this thing. You would think it would be super simple, pick a chapel, get married. There are like 300 chapels on the strip. I feel I have seen about 200 of them. Prices can range from 39.99 to 39,999. It's unbelievable how many different things there are to look at. I feel if I keep searching, I will find one that is really awesome and super cheap. I am just worried I may go blind from sitting in front of the computer for so many hours. They are either cheap and cheesy, or perfect and very over-priced. I am trying to find the perfect amount of cheese. What do you think is a good amount of cheese?

Speaking of something blue......

Get your mind out of the gutter! I know what you were thinking. Brandi commented on me needing something blue and I realized I haven't even thought about that kind of traditional stuff. Comment with any ideas about something old, new- (Jackson is pretty new), borrowed (does renting a dress count?), and blue. Brandi said a blue garter. Pretty sneaky.

Were Booked

Today we made our reservations at the Venetian. We will check in on Friday January 2nd in the afternoon. Friday morning we will drive to Las Vegas from Salt Lake and probably go straight to get our license, then to the hotel. It looks like it will be pretty chilly in Vegas so we are looking at having the ceremony inside. I need something blue, not someone blue and I especially don't want that someone to be me :)

Announcement

It is official. We are getting married on January 3rd, 2009 in Las Vegas. Everyone is welcome! We will get into Vegas on Friday the 2nd and stay for seven days. Come for a day or come for the whole week. We would love to see you there.
